Singaraja- Efforts to improve the quality of Human Resources at the Faculty of Economics, University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) are continuing. One of them is in the field of tax reporting. This was demonstrated through the workshop, Friday (13/12/2019).
The workshop which took place at the Undiksha Auditorium was organized by the Economics and Accounting Department Student Association in collaboration with the Undiksha Faculty of Economics Tax Center and the Directorate General of Taxes for the Bali Regional Office. The participants reached hundreds of people who were economics and accounting students, alumni, companies, and regional apparatus organizations (OPD) related to the Buleleng Regency Government. “The material provided is related to SPT reporting, including for micro, small, and medium enterprises. We hope that this will provide positive benefits not only for students but also for the general public in reporting,” explained the Head of the FE Undiksha Tax Center, I Nyoman Putra Yasa, S.E., M.Sc., BKP.
This activity presented speakers from the Head of Counseling Guidance and Document Management Section for the Bali DJP Regional Office, Dian Anggraeni, S.E., M.Sc., and Singaraja KPP Account Representative, Candra Prasetya. The material provided is expected to increase the participants’ insight. “This is a practical event, especially for students,” he added.
Vice Dean I FE Undiksha Dr. Gede Adi Yuniarta, SE., M.Sc., Ak., after opening the event, delivered this workshop as one of the strategies to introduce students and the general public to the implementation of theory in the field of taxation. “This time it brought in practitioners. This is important because it provides insight to students. Studying in class alone is not enough. This is also to bring students closer to the user or users, neutralizing theory and practice. This is what students need to get,” he explained.
Efforts to increase competency in students, he continued, in 2020 many will be involved in socializing tax awareness, and tax reporting by the community spread across Buleleng, Karangasem, and Jembrana Regencies. “There are also those who help in the tax office. We want through this step, student competence will increase,” he concluded. (hms)
