Singaraja- The Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha University of Education (FK-Undiksha) is holding a national seminar, Monday (29/11/2021). This event discussed the health of mothers and children during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chairman of the Committee, dr. Indra Purnomo, M. Kes., explained that the seminar which took place online was attended by thousands of participants from a number of regions in Indonesia. The participants were from government agencies, universities, and the general public. He explained the implementation of this activity as a form of support to the government in the context of creating quality and healthy Human Resources, as well as a form of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. “Mother and child have a very important role in the development and sustainability of the nation. Because of that, his health needs to get attention, especially in the midst of a pandemic,” he explained.
This activity was opened by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. It is hoped that this activity can be carried out sustainably and reach a wider community and the topics raised can be more diverse. On that occasion, the Undiksha Faculty of Medicine was also encouraged to be able to conduct research on health which could later be used as material for study by the government in formulating policies and by universities in developing future programs. No less important, the faculty which was established in 2018 was also asked to be more active in providing community service, as a form of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and Tri Hita Karana in terms of pawongan, namely establishing good relations between people. “Regarding this topic, it is hoped that the Faculty of Medicine can conduct research related to the pandemic so that we can understand and provide solutions,” he said.
