The Ugracena Bali Student Regiment Student Activities Unit (Menwa) Battalion B/920 Jayastambha Undiksha held a handover ceremony for the position of commander and staff at the General Seminar Building, on Thursday (18/04). This event started at 10.00 WITA and was attended by several guests from within Undiksha such as the Deputy Chancellor III, representatives of student organizations, and invitations from outside Undiksha such as high school/vocational school students who are members of the Singaraja National Defense, Singaraja Police, Menwa from the IKIP campus PGRI, Stikes Buleleng, Raider, and RRI. The election of the chairman, or in Menwa what is called the commander, uses a member deliberation (MA) system.
This system uses member votes as a reference for selecting commanders. Previously, Menwa had held member deliberations to elect the commander for the 2019/2020 period. There are 3 candidates for commander including Ni Wayan Widnyani (Economic Education), I Putu Agung Suardika (S1 Accounting Program), and I Gede Ary Wahyudi (Information Engineering Education). The results of the members’ deliberations showed that the election was won by the candidate for commander in the name of Ni Wayan Widnyani (Economic Education).
After holding member deliberations and obtaining results, UKM Menwa then handed over the position of commander and staff which was carried out last Thursday. According to Widnyani, as the elected Commander of UKM Menwa for the 2019/2020 period, he felt proud because he had been given the trust to lead UKM Menwa. “The message for the future is for members to always maintain their cooperation for the good name of Menwa both within the Undiksha community and in the wider community.”
