Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) again participated in the Gemastik event in 2023. In the event which took place at Brawijaya University, Malang from 12 to 16 September 2023, two Undiksha teams managed to enter as finalists.
The first team consisted of Gede Yuda Aditya, Ni Wayan Anik Puspita Sari, and I Ketut Adi Krisna Murti Saksena who participated in the software development division. The second team, Gusti Putu Younky Prakasa, Putu Dimas Pramudita, and I Dewa Gede Agung Wibhisana Natih participated in the ICT Business Development division. The team comes from the Technical and Vocational Faculty (FTK).
Before leaving for Malang City, the team met with the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M. Kes. The meeting was accompanied by Deputy Dean III FTK, Prof. Dr. Ketut Agustini, S.Si., M.Si, and accompanying lecturer, Ida Bagus Nyoman Pascima, S.Pd., M.Cs.
Entering as finalists is a source of pride for both teams. Team leader, Yuda Aditya, said that the competition in this competition was very tight. Facing this, he and his members tried to prepare themselves as best as possible. “We have been practicing for a month before and we have taken part in a lot of training. Ready to fight, it’s ready. We will perform all out and what will be there later. “We want to give the best for Undiksha,” he said.
The team leader, Younky Prakasa, also conveyed the same thing. He and his team members have also strengthened their preparations, from presentations to answering possible questions from the judges. In this competition, he made business innovations that could help teaching staff in creating learning media.
Undiksha Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sudiana expressed her appreciation for the team’s contribution and motivation to participate in this prestigious competition. “We at the leadership certainly really appreciate the awareness of this team to take part in this competition. “The same goes for the faculty and accompanying lecturers,” he said. It is hoped that this team will be able to show its best quality and get results according to expectations. This opportunity also emphasized that participating in competitions is not just about achievement. However, it is a space for students to measure their own competence and become motivated to improve their quality. “I hope that in the future more Undiksha students will be able to take part in Gemasik and other competitions,” he concluded.
