Singaraja- Hundreds of students from various universities in Indonesia gathered at the Auditorium of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha), on Monday (4/9/2023). The student wore his alma mater jacket with various colors. This diversity is a reflection of a difference gathered in a place that gives rise to harmony and unity. This is a rainbow of the archipelago.
The presence of these students at Undiksha is part of the Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program which is one of the flagship programs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. In this third program, Undiksha is one of the tertiary institutions in Indonesia that accepts students from other tertiary institutions and seeks to provide academic experience to students and provide space to get to know the socio-cultural richness of the archipelago.
There were 294 students who took part in the PMM program at Undiksha from 116 State Universities and Private Universities. In addition, there were also 22 Undiksha students who took part in PMM at other universities. The student was accepted and released by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd accompanied by Vice Chancellors. Also present were the Head of the Bureau, the Dean, and the lecturers supporting the Nusantara Module course.
On this occasion, the Chancellor Prof. Lasmawan emphasized that the PMM program must be a vehicle for optimizing the potential of students to get to know themselves, know the nation, and how to have a state and a nation. Therefore, this program is expected to be utilized and followed as well as possible by students.
It is also hoped that the learning process of these students while at Undiksha can run optimally. Emphasized, this should be a concern of the lecturers, including the tutor for the Nusantara Module course.
Through this meeting, students are also invited to establish good communication. In fact, it was emphasized that Undiksha’s leadership was very open to students’ wishes to discuss various matters related to education and other services. The PMM program will be implemented until December 2023. (hms)
