Singaraja- A proud achievement was made by students of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) in the 2023 Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM). The final round of this national-level event took place from 4 to 6 July 2023 at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI), Bandung.
This achievement was achieved by a team consisting of Ni Wayan Anik Puspita Sari, Wayan Pancadana, Gede Yuda Aditya, and Putri Eodytha Aisya Purnomo who are also from the Informatics Engineering Education study program.
The team leader, Anik Puspita Sari explained that this event was an activity held by the Indonesian Talent Development Center, the Ministry of Education and Culture’s National Achievement Center as a comprehensive effort to improve soft skills, technological literacy, and achievements in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This competition was attended by 45 tertiary institutions with a total of 165 teams registering for each division.
In this event, the Undiksha team won third place in the division of micro-teaching digitally through learning works micro-teaching by method problem-based learning. The work is in the form of a video microteaching with innovation in learning media using an articulate storyline with an interactive design that is adapted to the learning styles of students at the Bali Global IT Vocational School which tends to lead to visual learners. The presence of these learning media can improve students’ abilities in learning and is supported by implementing 8 teaching skills to maximize the teaching processmicroteaching
Anik Puspita said her participation in this prestigious competition was to improve her own abilities in the field of teaching and improve the quality of learning media in order to maximize the teaching process. Bearing in mind, the current study program is education-based. Apart from that, through this event, he and his team members can gain experience which is very important to hone hard skills and soft skills.
Facing the final round, this team prepared themselves for a month. In the process faced with an obstacle. This team must share their time with the implementation of teaching assistance programs in schools. However, with maximum support from supervisors and other lecturers, these obstacles can be overcome and get maximum results.
This achievement was conveyed to the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes, Tuesday (11/7/2023). He said that this achievement was very good because he had to compete with dozens of universities in Indonesia. “So being able to enter as third place is extraordinary,” he said.
According to him, this achievement was not only due to the hard work and enthusiasm of students. But it is also inseparable from the role of the supervisor and other lecturers who also provide support in the simulation before appearing in the final round. “This shows that this achievement was due to good cooperation,” he said.
The Undiksha LIDM Coordinator, Luh Putu Eka Damayanthi, S.Pd., M.Pd also welcomed this achievement with pride. Going forward, coaching efforts will continue to be maximized, especially for the microteaching division. His party will also look for other superior students to be prepared to take part in LIDM competitions for other divisions.
The achievements achieved by FTK students are expected to be a motivation and example for other students to contribute to Undiksha’s excellence. (hms)
