Singaraja- The achievements made by Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) students continue to flow. This time it came from Dewa Gede Tresna Yudiana and Ni Putu Nitha Astri Lestari. Both of them, who come from the Aquaculture Study Program, Department of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, succeeded in winning first place at the Student Entrepreneurship Expo at Semarang State University (UNNES) which was held on 20-21 March 2019.
Confirmed, Thursday (28/3/2019), Dewa Yudiana said that in the series of competitions with the 54th Anniversary of FMIPA UNNES, Undiksha had to compete with 162 teams from a number of universities in Indonesia. Some are prestigious universities, such as the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS), and Brawijaya University. At the expo, this second-semester student from Getakan Village, Banjarangkan District, Klungkung exhibited sea grapes that were still fresh and processed into pickles. “Sea grapes are a superior commodity for the study program. This is what is on display. “If other universities have food displays, there are also those related to services,” he said.
Getting brilliant achievements is not an easy matter. You have to prepare two months in advance. “This is the first national-level achievement,” he said. This achievement did not make him immediately satisfied. His desire to take part in other competitions and become champion is still very big. “I still want to take part in other events. We also want this sea grape to be marketed more widely. Likewise with the preparations. “The prospects are good,” he added.
Meanwhile, the supervisor, I Kadek Lila Antara, S.Pi., M.P, admitted that he was proud of this achievement. It was acknowledged that during preparation there were problems with aquaculture equipment. But it can be resolved soon. “For equipment, we are still collaborating with the private sector. “We also hope that institutions will support the procurement,” he said. This achievement also received a positive response from the Vice Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes. It is hoped that this will be able to increase the grades of study programs, departments, faculties, and universities. “We really appreciate this achievement. “Hopefully there will be more in the future,” he said.
