Singaraja- International achievement was achieved by students of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha from “E-NNOVATE International Invention & Innovation Show Poland”. This achievement did not only come from “Jamu Intra HerdiC”, but also from “ELIT: Electrical Lighting Installation Trainer” application. This innovation which won the gold medal was developed by a team consisting of Putu Zasya Eka Satya Nugraha from Study Program of Informatics Engineering Education, Rohmat Romadhan from Study Program of Educational Technology, I Gede Deva Anggara Putra Kasadi from Study Program of Electrical Engineering, Devy Arista Ciptamiari from Study Program of Management, and Kadek Reda Setiawan Suda who was alumni of Study Program of Electrical Engineering Education.
Putu Zasya Eka Satya Nugraha explained that ELIT was an integrated learning media for Electrical Engineering students. Learning media consisted of several components needed in lighting installations, namely, Lamp Fittings, PIR Sensors, Incandescent Lamps, LED Bulbs, Power Sockets, Voltage Meters, Ampere Meters, and Switches. It was compatible since its integrated and compact form. In addition, the electrical scheme is also clearly illustrated on the acrylic board. “We also provide a guidebook for this learning media,” he explained when confirmed, Friday (6/25/2021).
There were several reasons for creating this learning media. First, students rarely practiced, since electrical components were often damaged or lost. Second, the electrical components were modular, so they require reuse-integrated learning media. Third, students’ interest in learning was decreasing because learning focuses on theory. “So we need an innovative learning media that can inspire students’ learning enthusiasm,” he said.
Furthermore, it took one and a half months to prepare this innovation, starting from the preparation of abstract, video invention, innovation poster, company poster, and invention poster. In the end, their efforts resulted in the best achievement. “We are very grateful for our achievement. We get a great opportunity by participating in international events. This is also our learning process in communicating ideas to foreigners,” he added.
This achievement was appreciated by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., Furthermore, Undiksha would support and assist in product development and product design that had been produced by students. It would be coordinated with the Institute for Research and Community Service. “Their products will be certified, we will help, such as intellectual property rights and patents,” he concluded. (PR)
