Singaraja- Handling mental health in pregnant women is a concern for students at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha). This attention is demonstrated through innovation and technology-based development in the form of the MY MIND: Multi-Utility Mental Health Innovation for Pregnant and Depression Prevention application. This innovation was entered into a competition organized by the Badung Regency Regional Research and Innovation Agency on 12-13 July 2023 and won second place. The award trophy presentation took place at the Mangupura Award event, on October 25, 2023.
The development of the MY MIND application was carried out by a team of students consisting of Luh Nadya Kartika Dewi (D3 Midwifery Study Program), Galih Gayatri (S1 Nursing Study Program) and I Putu Angga Pastika Febriana (S1 Informatics Engineering Education Study Program). This team was guided by a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Ni Nyoman Ayu Desy Sekarini, SST., M.Keb. (D3 Midwifery Study Program Lecturer) and Ns. Shofi Khaqul Ilmy, S.Kep., M.Kep. (Lecturer in the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program).
The development of this application is the result of collaboration between study programs which aims to overcome mental health problems among pregnant women in Badung Regency, with a focus on preventing depression after the COVID-19 pandemic. This application offers various innovative features that allow pregnant women to measure their mental health independently, including screening, categorization, and initial treatment.
It is hoped that this Android-based application can be an important part of efforts to improve, prevent, cure, and rehabilitate the mental health of pregnant women in Badung Regency in an integrated, sustainable, and comprehensive manner.
The MY MIND team plans to continue developing this application so that it can provide greater benefits to society. Apart from that, it can inspire other students to contribute to creating innovative solutions that benefit the wider community. (rls)
