His visit, which was not the first time, began with giving a public lecture, as well as closing the 2019 Campus Life Orientation (OKK) for new students. On that occasion, he gave his appreciation because the students came from various regions. Not only regencies in Bali but also from outside the region, such as Java, NTB, NTT, Kalimantan, Sulwasesi, to Papua. From that, there are also quite a lot of people who get Bidikmisi. The presence of students who are very diverse, including in terms of character, Minister Mohamad Nasir asked all of them to always maintain unity. In fact, it becomes an obligation. The younger generation was also asked not to be provoked by the problems that occurred in the East Java region which involved students. “You have to create a community,” he said. He also emphasized that the conduciveness of students must also receive serious attention from the Chancellor and his staff. This has often been emphasized. If turmoil occurs, the Chancellor must be prepared to take responsibility. “My Chancellor asked to guarantee the safety of students,” he said.
As the nation’s next generation, he asked students to uphold the four pillars of nationalism. Namely Pancasila, NKRI, UUD 1945 and Unity in Diversity. “This must always be remembered,” he pleaded. An anti-drug attitude was also campaigned on students. Emphasized, that the campus must be free from these illicit goods. “Stay away from drugs, achieve achievements,” he cried while expecting the Chancellor to cooperate with the police to conduct a urine test.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd emphasized that so far the situation at Undiksha has been very conducive. There is no social turmoil in the midst of the academic community. In this case, his party also continues to echo the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, one of which invites all students and lecturers to maintain good relations with each other, as well as with God and the environment. “In Undiksha the situation is really conducive. This is a manifestation of the implementation of Tri Hita Karana which has been going well. This philosophy is universal,” he explained. Meanwhile, regarding education with national insight, Undiksha provides personality development courses and continues to be accommodated in the curriculum.
