Singaraja- Ni Luh Eniasih, a woman from Bangli Regency, is entrusted with representing the Province of Bali in the Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange (PPAP) event which takes place from 3 July to 5 August 2023. This event is a program of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) which aims to facilitate the development of youth human resources in order to create a superior generation.
Eni, as she is affectionately known, is a student in the Law Study Program at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha). This event seeks to answer the main issues related to the role and participation of youth in national development as well as socio-cultural processes that promote independence, entrepreneurial spirit, excellence, competition, tolerance, and mutual cooperation for youth based on local wisdom.
Participants who are representatives of every province in Indonesia will be placed in the western zone, namely Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, and the Central Zone, namely Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan. Eni, this 6th semester student got a part in the middle zone.
The form of activities in this program consists of 4 programs. First, sustainable community development service is an activity for sustainable community development and development according to the needs of the placement area. Second, local society discussion which is a discussion session from various stakeholders to run an effective and efficient community development program. Third, a cultural performance is an event to present cultural performances from the origins of the delegates. Fourth, domestic cross-cultural understanding which aims for the delegates to learn from each other and exchange understanding with the culture of the people in the placement area.
This student from Bangli said that her participation in this event was certainly inseparable from her role as a young man who must be able to provide benefits to many people. his participation began with a selection at the Bali Province level carried out by the Indonesian Retired Young Craftsmen (PPMI) Bali and the Bali Province Education and Youth Service. The selection consists of administrative selection, interview selection, and work program exposure selection. The selection was attended by 35 participants who were representatives from districts/cities. “After the selection was carried out from 27 to 29 April 2023 in Tabanan, one pair was chosen as the Youth Ambassadors for the Bali Province whose job was to represent Bali in the Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange,” she explained, Saturday (8/7/2023).
Her participation in this event was motivated by the community service and student affairs activities he often participates in, such as the ORMAWA Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK ORMAWA), Student Entrepreneurial Development Program (P2MW), Innovillage, National KKN, and also various student organization activities on campus.
In the process of qualifying to represent Bali in this event, he admitted that he had experienced obstacles. One of them is time management because you have to take part in an internship program. However, these obstacles did not make him back down instead considered giving him a lesson. “I always try my best to manage time so that everything that is his obligation can run well,” she said.
The success of participating in this event is certainly inseparable from the support and prayers of his parents, the Government of Bangli Regency, the Provincial Government of Bali, and also Undiksha. “I believe the blessing of parents is God’s blessing,” she explained.
In her journey, she felt that she got many benefits. She can see the wider world, see the various potentials of each of the various delegates, and of course, he can gain a lot of new knowledge from other delegates. She hopes that her experience of participating in this program can later be shared with others and of course, it can also provide benefits. (hms)
