Singaraja– The Student Regiment Student Activity Unit (UKM-Menwa) of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) commemorates the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in a different way. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, this student organization stocked masks and flags for the general public, Sunday (16/8/2020).
The action targeted residents crossing Jalan Udayana, Singaraja. “This is our way of celebrating Independence Day. We choose to share,” said Undiksha Menwa UKM Commander, Gede Ari Wahyudi. He further conveyed, the distribution of masks was a form of support for preventing the spread of Covid-19, especially for the people of Buleleng Regency. “We want people to stay healthy. No one is exposed to Covid-19 anymore. This is our form of support,” he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the distribution of flags, it was stated to increase a sense of nationalism towards the nation and state. The community is expected to always be able to fight against various challenges and dynamics that occur. “From this, we also hope that the community can increase their enthusiasm to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
