Singaraja- The Faculty of Medicine, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) celebrated its 4th anniversary, with the event highlight taking place at the Gede Manik Arts Building, Singaraja, Saturday (8/10/2022). This momentum is expected to encourage and motivate the faculty to be the spearhead of producing quality graduates.
The event highlight entitled Action of Solidarity and Kinship was opened by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He who represented the Rector congratulated the eighth faculty of Undiksha. In its four-year journey, this faculty is considered to have been able to show good quality and add new study programs. In 2022, the Faculty of Medicine had 6 study programs: the Medicine Study Program, Doctor Professional Education Study Program, Midwifery Study Program, Midwifery Professional Study Program, Nursing Study Program, and Ners Professional Study Program. “I see that the presence of the Faculty of Medicine, with the presence of the Faculty of Medicine students, has an impact on the better academic environment at Undiksha,” said Rasben Dantes.
At an increasing age, the Faculty of Medicine Undiksha is expected to continue improving students’ quality, education and teaching, research, and community service. “I think what is shown by current students, from their achievements even though they are only 4 years old is very encouraging,” he said.
Rasbes Dantes also emphasized the accreditation of study programs. He emphasized that accreditation is an indicator of the quality of the study program or a university. “In the future we will continue to improve the quality, be it through accreditation, through other activities, what is important is the essence of these study programs or this university is how they can produce quality graduates in accordance with their competence, good character, and the doctors produced by Undiksha are humanist doctors, who are able to serve the entire community and all their patients,” he concluded.
The birthday celebration event, which was filled with entertainment events, was also attended by the Head of Undiksha’s General and Financial Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd., the leadership of Undiksha’s Faculty of Medicine, and leaders of partner hospitals. (hms)
