This donation came from Undiksha students and students.
In his speech, the principal of SD Negeri 2 Silangjana expressed his gratitude to the bisikmisi communication forum for carrying out social service and providing donations for the advancement of students’ education. “40% of the support that advances SD Negeri 2 Silangjana comes from assistance from Undiksha students,” he said.
This social service event was officially opened by the principal of SD Negeri 2 Silangjana after giving a speech. This event received a good response from students as well as teachers and staff.
“This school was chosen as the target for this year’s Social Service because this school is located in the interior, far from village centers and even urban centers, and the facilities and infrastructure are still minimal. “The number of students at this school is 88 people and the number of teachers and staff is 10 people,” said Sindy.
This social service is filled with several activities including gymnastics, several games such as cracker eating competitions, marble relays, and moving balloons. Then continued literacy by reading Satua Bali books as well as an introduction to technology such as laptops.
“Outdoor activities include gymnastics and competitions. These gymnastics activities are also used as a form of assessment of sports practice test scores by sports teachers. For indoors, we hold literacy activities for grades 1-5, namely reading Balinese satua, and selecting Balinese satua so that our Balinese language culture can be preserved. For class 6 we are holding a rational introduction to laptops so that when class 6 students enter junior high school they can know what a laptop is and how to operate and use a laptop. The enthusiasm of the students in welcoming us is very high and I hope that what we donate today can provide “happiness and new knowledge for students at SD Negeri 2 Silangjana,” added Sindy. This social service event closed with the handover of stationery and souvenirs. (Harum, Puspa, Ayu Krisna)
