Singaraja- Hundreds of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) students received an additional Bidikmisi quota in 2019. In line with that, students from various study programs are required to demonstrate self-quality, both in terms of soft skills and achievements. This was conveyed by Vice Rector III Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd when opening the socialization, Wednesday (12/18/2019).
Based on the data, the scholarship was received by 196 semester I students and nine ongoing students. This amount is in accordance with the proposal submitted by Undiksha to the center. These recipients are chosen people who will determine the future of the nation. Therefore, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Suastra emphasized that good self-quality is a must-have. “I emphasize, these students must have good soft skills. Good character and able to carve achievements, “he said.
Students are also challenged to be able to create a Student Creativity Program (PKM) that can qualify for National Student Science Week which is a prestigious event every year. In addition, as academics, students are also expected to be able to generate innovative ideas, including solving problems that exist in society. “Got down to the village. Exploring problems in the community and looking for solutions to handle them. For example in waste management. Things like this can be used as PKM,” he said.
Involvement in student organizations and campus activities is also a demand for students. This is part of honing social skills. “I also ask these students to make good use of their time for education. It can pass in four years, “added Suastra. (hms)
