Singaraja– The achievements made by students of the Department of Law and Citizenship at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continue. This time they came from Desak Paramitha Brata, Sella Marsellena Mercury, and I Made Riyan Cahyadi. The three of them who were part of a team won 1st place in the 8th Law Debate Competition “Red Colony Law Fair 2” between students from all over Bali Province which was held by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law, University of Warmadewa, Saturday (11/16/2019).
Marsellena Mercury said that to achieve this achievement, you need to work hard. His team not only prepared mentally but also had to master various motions. “There is a statement that says “effort will not betray results”. Therefore, we are trying our best to prepare the debate material,” she explained.
This achievement, she continued, was also inseparable from the role of mentors, consisting of I Gusti Ayu Apsari Hadi, S.H., M.H., Dr. Made Sugi Hartono, S.H., M.H., and Si Ngurah Ardhya, S.H., M.H. “The role of this mentor is extraordinary,” he said. Regarding this achievement, this long-haired student admitted that he was very proud because he was able to present a sweet gift to the university. “It is very happy and extraordinary to be able to take part in and win this Bali-wide legal debate,” she said.
Apart from being a brilliant achievement, the competition which was attended by 10 teams was also used as an arena to improve self-quality. “Of course, we will implement all the knowledge gained from this competition considering law enforcement is an important thing that needs attention,” she concluded.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for this achievement because he was able to contribute to increasing the grade of the institution, both at the national and international levels. “Hopefully achievements will continue to emerge from Undiksha students,” he said.
