Singaraja- Chancellor of the University of Education Ganesha (Undiksha), Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., appointed six deans and six structural officials, on Thursday (5/9/2019). The new officials are challenged to continue to innovate and be able to accelerate realizing Undiksha’s vision as a superior university based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045.
The appointed Dean, namely the Faculty of Languages and Arts, held by Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd. He replaces Prof. Dr. Putu Kerti Nitiasih, M.A. Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS), still held by Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed. The Faculty of Education is held by Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi who replaced Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Suarni, M.S., Kons., Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences who is still held by Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, M.Sc. The Faculty of Sports and Health is still held by I Ketut Budaya Astra, S.Pd., M.Or., and the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational is still held by Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Meanwhile, structurally, the inauguration was carried out for the position of Head of the General Affairs and Administration Section, which was held by Nyoman Marjaya, S.E, who previously served as Head of the Finance Section. The Head of the Finance Section is held by I Putu Sudiarna. SP., who previously served as Head of Planning and Cooperation. The Head of the Planning and Cooperation Section was held by I Gusti Putu Anom Arimbawa, S.T. who was previously the Head of the Program and Budget Subdivision. The Head of the Program and Budget Subdivision was held by Luh Nitra Aryani, S.Pd, who was previously an Apparatus Human Resources Analyst. There is also the Head of the General and Finance Subdivision in the FHIS TU Section held by I Gusti Ayu Ngurah Santini, S.E who was previously the Head of the Accounting and Reporting Subdivision in the Finance Section. He exchanged positions with I Komang Adi Paramarta, S.T., who was also appointed.
Especially for the Dean, the Chancellor of Jampel immediately gave a series of tasks related to improving the quality of the institution. In the midst of various challenges and opportunities at this time, the number one person in this Faculty was asked to maintain or increase university accreditation. Including increasing the accreditation of each study program towards International Accreditation. Equally important is strengthening and improving the quality of institutional governance to be more effective and efficient, strengthening and increasing the quality and quantity of research, community service, and scientific publications, both in indexed international journals and accredited national journals. “The same goes for the quality of the teaching and learning process to produce qualified and competitive graduates. It must be a concern and must be followed up,” he said.
Accelerating the realization of the vision, the Deans were also asked not to ignore student achievements. This must be encouraged and able to compete at national and international level competitions. No less important, it must optimize the cooperation that has been built or initiate new collaborations both with domestic and foreign institutions that are able to contribute to the development of institutions and on the basis of benefits for the entire academic community. This step is also at the same time to strengthen the implementation of internationalization at home which was announced in 2019. “I also ask for improving the academic qualifications of human resources and creating a positive academic atmosphere. Lecturers who are still in S-2 must be pushed to S-3. In addition, I also convey a message to the newly appointed deans, to always be able to provide excellent service to the community in the form of the presence of institutions and academics in the midst of society in solving problems that arise in society and providing solutions, so that the existence of Undiksha The local community really feels the benefits,” he explained. Meanwhile, structural officials are asked to continue to innovate to create programs that are getting better as planned. “Communication also needs to be established intensively. We have to build an institution together,” he added.
After the inauguration, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, I Ketut Gading, admitted that he was ready to carry out the tasks assigned by the chancellor. He also strives to make the faculty better in the future, including efforts to accelerate the uptake of graduates in the world of work. One of the strategies offered is establishing cooperation with local governments, and public and private schools. “Cooperation also with industry. With private.
