Singaraja – The Communication Forum (Forkom) KIP Kuliah in Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) hosted the Forkom Goes To School 2025 event online on Saturday, January 4, 2025. The event featured two prominent speakers, the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., and Dr. Sony Hartono Wijaya, a member of the KIP Lecture Team. The program was officially opened by the Vice Rector of Student Affairs, Alumni, Public Relation Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Sudiana expressed appreciation for the initiative and highlighted two critical challenges in Indonesia’s education system: limited access to education and the struggle to enhance education quality. He emphasized the government’s effort to address these issues, particularly through the KIP Kuliahe program introduced by Kemendikbudristek formerly Kemendiktisaintek.
“KIP Kuliah provides financial assistance for Highschool graduates with strong academic potential but limited economics. This program aims to empower these students to pursue higher education, fostering economic potential and social mobility.” said Prof. Sudiana.
The Program strives to ensure that Highschool students across Indonesia can access higher education, regardless of economic barriers. The event also targeted headmasters, teachers, and students, providing comprehensive and accurate information about the benefits of the KIP Kuliah Program.
Prof. Sudiana further introduced several scholarship programs available at Undiksha, including the Rector’s scholarship, Bank Indonesia scholarship, BPI scholarship, and BUMD scholarship and more. These opportunities were presented to help participants understand the various financial supports available to facilitate their academic journey.
Concluding his address, Prof. Sudiana expressed hope that the participants would actively support the realization of the KIP Lecture program to ensure it achieves its objectives and maximizes its benefits for prospective students. “Let us all be part of advancing education and driving progress for our beloved Indonesia,” he concluded.
Forkom Goes to School 2025 served as an avenue to provide in-depth information about access to higher education and introduced scholarship programs aimed at helping students achieve their academic aspirations. This initiative reflects Undiksha’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and supporting Indonesia’s educational development.
