PKM-PM Undiksha: Enhancing Life Skill Through STEM-Based Interactive Media for LKSA Widhya Asih Singaraja Children
In an effort to support the government’s program to foster Indonesia’s Gold Generation by 2045, a team of students from Undiksha, led by I Kadek Agus Prabawan Saputra, along with the members I Putu Arya Swankastika Yasa, Ni Kadek Prima Jyoti Mahardika, Ni Komang Meliani, and I Putu Bagus Kresna Dana, created a program titled “Proper STEM: Enhancing Life Skill Through STEM-Based Interactive Media for LKSA Widhya Asih Singaraja Children.”
This initiative focuses on enhancing the life skills of children at LKSA Widhya Asih through STEM-based interactive media, incorporating four essential aspects: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The children actively participate in creating this interactive media. By engaging in this process, they will indirectly practice and enhance their life skills such as discipline, critical thinking, curiosity, and problem solving with STEM concepts.
In its implementation, the team utilizes STEM-based interactive media through 9 activities that are referred to as the “9 series.” Each series enables the children to create one piece of interactive media that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, serving as a step toward life skill enhancement. This process helps them to develop discipline, critical thinking, curiosity, and problem solving abilities, promoting independent learning. By improving life skills supported by STEM-based interactive media, children at LKSA Widhya Asih Singaraja can acquire abilities that significantly enhance their life skills and interest in learning. In the future, this STEM-based interactive media can serve as a reference for learning, especially in mathematics and sciences.
