Singaraja– The Balingkang Confucius Institute pays attention to improving Mandarin language skills for tourism practitioners. This is demonstrated by the opening of Mandarin language classes for New Sunari Lovina Beach Resort staff. This training opens on December 14, 2023.
This training was welcomed by the Manager of New Sunari Lovina Beach Resort, Gede Prapta. He explained that most of the tourists at the Sunari Hotel came from China. Therefore, holding Mandarin language classes for staff received a very positive response because it would provide better service. Apart from that, it is hoped to build a better relationship for both parties.
Director of the Balingkang Confucius Institute, Zhu Minxia, said this Mandarin language training course was specially designed for hotel employees. This reflects the organic combination of “Chinese + Hotel” and not only strengthens the application of daily spoken language but also emphasizes hotel management and service. It is hoped that through this training, hotel employees’ Mandarin language skills can be improved. Likewise with the service.
The Indonesian Director of the Balingkang Undiksha Confucius Institute, Putu Ayu Prabawati Sudana, S.Pd., M.Hum introduced a glimpse of the Balingkang Undiksha Confucius Institute and the programs it runs. He also hopes that the Mandarin language course will be useful for hotel staff, especially in dealing with Chinese guests. The hope is that the participants can study successfully and are welcomed if they want to continue to the intermediate level in the future. This program is also useful as a realization of collaboration between Undiksha and Sunari Hotel, which is one of Undiksha’s close partners in the hotel industry. He hopes that in the future there will be more collaboration programs held between Undiksha and Sunari which can be beneficial for both parties.
Volunteer teacher Wu Hengheng expressed his honor for having the opportunity to explore the world of Mandarin with the staff of New Sunari Beach and Resort.
