Singaraja- The commemoration of the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in Buleleng Regency was quite lively. Various competitions were enlivened as a place to show the spirit of struggle. One of them is walking. Ganesha University of Education also participated by delegating male and female teams. The event was used as a medium to knit togetherness.
Wednesday (7/8/2019) competition for women. Udayana Street, Singaraja, Buleleng Regency, is the starting point. People from various regions poured in to witness. This competition was attended by 41 teams from high schools, universities, and regional apparatus organizations of the Buleleng district. Even though the weather was very hot, the enthusiasm remained high. The distance of this race reaches 17 kilometers which takes place around Singaraja City.
Danton, the Ganesha University of Education team Luh Supatmi Yoni said that he was very proud to be able to take part in this competition because it can foster a fighting spirit, a sense of unity and togetherness. “I was lucky because of the thousands of Undiksha students, I was one of 17 people who took part in this competition,” he said.
Getting the start number 14, with about one and a half months of preparation, the Undiksha “heroes” have the ambition to win the championship or defend the second place won in 2018. “At least they want to defend last year’s championship,” he said. Meanwhile, the men’s walking race took place on August 10 at a distance of 45 kilometers. (hms)
