Singaraja- Eleven members of the Undiksha Student Activity Unit (UKM) Student Regiment (Menwa) took part in basic military education at Rindam IX Udayana, Kediri, Tabanan Regency from March 3 to 14 2020. The release was by Undiksha Deputy Chancellor III, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., and took place in the Rector’s Lobby, Monday (2/3/2020).
Participation in this education is expected not only to forge mentally so that you become a stronger person in facing challenges. But also able to build good social relationships. “This is part of character building. This is important,” he said.
This academic from Tojan Village, Klungkung Regency also stressed that as a student, especially as a member of UKM Menwa, he must be committed to upholding the four pillars of nationalism, namely the 1945 Constitution, Pancasila, NKRI, and Unity in Diversity. “Menwa must be a pioneer for this,” he said.
On the other hand, the existence of this student organization is highly appreciated because it has contributed to the implementation of university activities. “Hopefully in the future, this UKM can get better,” he added.
Commander of the Menwa Undiksha, Ni Wayan Widnyani, explained that this educational activity was mandatory for new members to take part in. “Now there are eleven people participating. All new members who entered in 2019, “he said.
Apart from Undiksha, he said that this training was also attended by nine universities in Bali. “We hope this activity can provide benefits and be able to improve the quality of members,” he said.
