Singaraja– Jelantik-Jempiring Racana Racana Student Activity Unit (UKM) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) commemorates its XXXII anniversary. The opening of a series of activities was held at the Auditorium of the Laboratory High School at the Ganesha University of Education, Saturday (7/5/2022).
This momentum was created to promote the spirit of creativity and devotion.
The head of the committee, I Ketut Satria Ardana, said that the commemoration of UKM’s anniversary is not just an annual routine. More than that, to always raise the spirit of the members. Such as the theme that is carried out “Work and Dedicate Towards Active Wholehearted Change”. The theme has the spirit that even in this Covid-19 pandemic situation, the younger generation should not just sit idly by, but can continue to work to develop their potential and also serve everyone. “Because in truth we are social creatures and fellow human beings must respect and help each other if someone needs help. All of this is done to lead to changes that are actively carried out by all of us based on a sincere and whole-hearted feeling,” he said.
Meanwhile, Advisor II of Racana Jelantik-Jempiring Undiksha Student Activity Unit, Made Juliani, S.ST., S.Kep.Ns., M.Pd. said that the age of SMEs that have entered adulthood needs to be supported by increasing the enthusiasm of members to carry out positive activities. “Like the theme of this activity. We must always be passionate about working and serving others,” she said. The same thing was conveyed by the Head of UKM, I Gede Agus Sudiantara.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Waka Kwarda Bali, Sister I Gusti Ayu Diah Yuniti. She read the remarks of the Chairman of Kwarda Bali, Brother I Made Rentin. She conveyed, this anniversary commemoration is a learning medium as well as training independence for scout members in carrying out real life. She also invited all members to always create harmony. “Let’s always maintain togetherness, harmony, and a sense of brotherhood so that harmony will later be realized,” she said.
She also conveyed, in connection with the era of globalization and modernization that is happening now that the development of information technology has resulted in the fading of regional culture. Apart from that, it also has the potential to trigger a fading spirit of nationalism, loss of national insight in the younger generation, and a decline in character. It is hoped that this will become the concern of scout members and can be an example for the younger generation to become a generation with character. “This needs to start with a real effort,” she added.
After the opening of the anniversary series, blood donation activities were continued in collaboration with PMI Buleleng. Participants, namely members of the Racana Jelantik-Jempiring Undiksha Scout UKM and the general public. This year’s anniversary was filled with various activities, such as a national essay competition, a video scouting contest, social service, flower sowing, and a national scouting webinar.
