Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held archiving socialization and workshop at the Aneka Hotel, Lovina, Tuesday (17/5/2022). Archive management is driven digitally. This is in order to maintain document security and facilitate access when needed. This was emphasized by the Head of the Undiksha General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd.
He explained that many archives have continuing functions, such as Chancellor’s Decrees, Senate Decrees, and other letters. This document must be properly managed. Through this socialization, it is hoped that the understanding of archivists and related staff can increase. “Leaders need good archivist management. So this activity must be carried out to provide enlightenment, and understanding to those who serve as young or middle archivists as well as administrative staff,” explained Yasmiati.
Admittedly, the management of archives at Undiksha is currently not fully centralized in one place. In addition, there are still employees who have not been able to process archives into valid documents. After this socialization and workshop, archive management is expected to get better supported by inter-departmental cooperation. “So it’s managed properly, processed properly, especially in the era of digitalization. Archivists must be able to cooperate with other positions, both with computer institutions, ICT, and others,” she added.
Based on the program of activities designed by the archivist team chaired by I Made Yoga Yasa, S.T., M.T., for the 2022 fiscal year, apart from socialization and workshops, archival technical guidance was also carried out to managers within Undiksha for the second semester of the 2022 fiscal year, followed by archive audit to all work units. The results of the audit will later be reported to the Undiksha leadership as the person in charge of the archives.
This activity presented keynote speakers Functional Middle Archivists of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Djuwita Sari, and Rustina. Apart from that, the Archivists from the Buleleng Regency Government, Made Ngurah Setiawan and Nyoman Reditya Sukawirya.
Apart from being related to archiving, in the same place, on Wednesday (18/5/2022) Undiksha also held a Workshop on Compiling Employee Performance Targets (SKP) in 2022. This activity was attended by middle and young functional officials within Undiksha. SKP is mandatory for employees to report as a benchmark between performance plans and performance realization or results, both for individuals and for organizations. This event presented speakers from Regional X Office of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), Denpasar, Made Dinda Pradnya Pramita, and Adi Wahyu Wicaksono. Apart from that, there was also a technical discussion filled in by UPT ICT Undiksha. (hms)
