Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) students also support improving village services through innovation. One is innovation in Gobleg Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. Students who are members of the Capacity Strengthening Program or Program Penguatan Kapasitas (PPK) Team of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences student organization designed the “Kulkul Digital” innovation, a multifunctional application to support security, health, administration and also the community’s economy.
The team consisted of Ni Made Putri Oktadewi, Ni Putu Purnima Gayatri, Fathia Karima, Putu Gena Ananta Darmawan, I Gede Agra Gunawan, I Wayan Puja Astra, Ni Ketut Anggriani, Guntur Hari Marceliant, Desi Fairuz Lathifah, I Gede Anggie Suardika Arpin, Ida Bagus Putu Ananda M.S.K, and I Komang Sasra Wiardana.
The team leader, Putri Oktadewi, explained that the idea to design a digital kulkul application originated from the many cases of theft in Gobleg Village, which certainly disturbed the communities. “So the PPK Ormawa Team of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences innovated to create a multifunctional application that can integrate with almost every field of life,” she explained Sunday (16/10/2022).
Further explained, there are four main features in this application. First, a security feature will be connected to the smart gate (automatic doorstop) currently under design. Second, a health feature in which there is data on the blood type of the residents of Gobleg Village. The third is an administrative feature with completeness and administrative requirements for all residents of Gobleg Village. This feature is more practical because it only uses a scan and upload system. Fourth, the economic feature or marketplace is provided for the people of Gobleg Village who want to sell online. “The digital kulkul application has been designed to be user-friendly so that the community will certainly not experience confusion in its use. With just one touch through their respective smartphones, people can use this application according to the needs provided,” he said.
This application design was introduced to the village government through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities on September 11, 2022. On this occasion also attended Undiksha FHIS lecturers, Dr. Made Sugi Hartono, S.H., M.H., and I Wayan Pardi, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Gobleg Village Perbekel, Made Separsa appreciated this innovation, and it is hoped that it can help economic activities, security, health and the administration of the Gobleg Village community in just one hand. “We, as village officials, strongly support the implementation of the program from the PPK Ormawa BEM Faculty of Law and Social Sciences team because this Digital Kulkul is a new innovation for our village, which will certainly be very useful, especially in this digital era,” he concluded.
The FGD is a series of activities to implement the Ormawa Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
The team supervisor, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., said that this innovative design is a form of the fundamental role of students in helping and facilitating the activities of rural communities.
In the future, through the assistance provided by Undiksha students, lecturers and support from the local government and Perbekel Gobleg Village to realize the Digital Kulkul, students will implement another program, namely making a smart gate or digital doorstop that can minimize theft. (rls/hms)
