Singaraja- The Hindu Dharma Yowana Brahma Vidya (KMHD-YBV) Student Family at Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) welcomed its 28th Anniversary. At this mature age, it is hoped that it can become a momentum to strengthen religious dharma and state dharma.
This anniversary series was opened by the Head of the Hindu Education Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Bali Province, Ida Ayu Putu Gede Dharma Yanti. He delivered remarks from the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. If we compare it to a human being, 28 is the age that is mature enough to become a mature person, a responsible person. The same hope is also aimed at KMHD YBV Undiksha. At this age, they are increasingly mature and increasingly have a noble responsibility to maintain and enrich the heritage of local wisdom and Hindu spirituality. “On this special day, we gather in harmony and togetherness to discuss a very important theme in our context as Indonesians and Hindus, namely state dharma, building character, and the active role of the young Hindu generation in creating harmonious political dynamics,” she said.
It was further stated that in social life, as Hindus, they have the duty and responsibility to carry out dharma. Dharma is not only a set of rules, but more than that, namely a life guide that teaches you to live a life full of responsibility, honesty, and compassion. Honesty is a pillar of character that makes us reliable to others. Compassion expands the heart to care for others. Meanwhile, tolerance allows us to live side by side with differences.
The younger generation of Hindus is faced with the demands of the modern era. KMHD YBV Undiksha is invited to never be tempted to sacrifice noble values for the sake of material success. “Be a successful professional. “Don’t forget the spiritual roots and wisdom that were received by our ancestors,” she said.
The role of technology and globalization in life cannot be avoided. However, as a user, you must be able to filter information and choose wisely so as not to be swayed by the flow of information that can damage your character.
In political life, the young Hindu generation is also invited to uphold dharma values. Dharma is not just about truth and duty. But it is also about balance and harmony. In a political context, implementing dharma means upholding justice and truth above all other interests. One step to creating harmonious political dynamics is to understand differences as wealth.
The opening event for this anniversary series was filled with a national seminar that presented two speakers, namely Drs. I Ketut Donder, M.Ag., Ph.D., and Dr. Ir. I Wayan Jondra, M.Sc.
Head of the Undiksha Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd who represented the Chancellor of Undiksha welcomed this seminar. He hopes that the material presented by the speakers can further increase understanding of religious dharma and state dharma. “It is hoped that this seminar activity will have an impact on ourselves and have an impact on society,” he said.
Apart from the national seminar, there will also be blood donation, a mesatua competition at the elementary school level, a pidarta competition at the middle school level, and a traditional clothing competition at high school/vocational school level temples throughout Bali. Then continued with assisted school activities, social service, yoga, and the election of Truna Truni KMHD-YBV Undiksha in 2024. The highlight of the KMHD YBV Undiksha Anniversary event was 18 February 2024. (hms)
