Singaraja- The management of KMHD YBV Undiksha participated in the 2019 National Gita Camp activities on 16-17 November 2019 at The Clouds Agropark, Wanagiri Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency. This activity is part of a series of the 2019 National Gita Jayanti to commemorate the day the holy book Bhagavad Gita was spoken.
This activity carries the theme “Universal Values of Bhagavad Gita for the Development of Excellent Human Resources for Advanced Indonesia”. It contains Gita for better life, Gita Wirjawan (Bhagavad Gita the main solution to life’s problems), Gita Focus (Loving True Love Objects), Mantra Meditation and Yoga, as well as Outbound and Self Development Games. In addition, to increase knowledge about religion, the organizing committee gave Bhagavad Gita to around 140 participants from Bali, Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi.
The speakers presented were the President of the World Hindu Parisad as well as a member of the Republic of Indonesia DPD Drs. Made Mangku Pastika, M.M who also opened the event, and the keynote speaker who was brought in directly from India, namely H.H Haladhar Swami.
With this activity, it is hoped that Hindu youths will be more aware of the importance of the values of life contained in the Bhagavad Gita and be able to understand and implement them so that Hindu youths can become superior youths and can contribute to advancing Bali in particular and Indonesia in general.
Head of KMHD YBV Undiksha I Wayan Santika as one of the participants admitted that he was very proud to be able to take part in this activity because it was special, especially at the national level. These activities provide many benefits such as adding new knowledge, especially about religion, broadening horizons, honing soft skills, and making more friends. He hopes that this activity will continue and there will be many more similar activities aimed at the younger generation of Hindus. This activity was also attended by other people such as Muslims and Christians, this is a form of inter-religious tolerance. (rls)
