Singaraja – Students From Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) have once again achieved remarkable success at the national level. This time, their achievement comes from the Mandalika Essay Competition, an event organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, Nahdlatul Wathan Mataram University, in collaboration with Lembaga Setara Prisma Nusantara, held from February 22-24, 2025.
The Undiksha team, consisting of Putu Daneshwara Krishna Marjaya, Putu Dinar Adistya Prabhandari, Agus Hidayatulloh, Ni Luh Eka Setyawati, and Ni Putu Aila Anjani, all students from the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts secured three prestigious awards: Gold Medal for Best Poster Presentation, Favorite/Best Poster Award, and 2nd Place Overall Winner in the Poster Category.
Under the leadership of Daneshwara, the team chose a topic in economic law, focusing on the development of the BarterIn application to support a circular economy marketplace. This topic was selected in response to the growing challenge of controlled consumerism in the digital era. While many people discard still-usable items, others struggle to afford essential goods due to financial constraints. Emphasizing the circular economy concept, the team proposed a digital platform that facilitates the exchange of second-hand items, ensuring they are re-used by those in need.
The team;s preparation was guided by Kadek Sintya Dewi, S.Pd., M.Pd., over an intensive two-week period. Balancing academic responsibilities and competition preparation required significant dedication and hard work. Their outstanding results are a testament to their perseverance and commitment.
Moving forward, the team aspires to participate in more competitions, bringing further recognition to Undiksha on both national and international stages. With passion and determination, they remain committed to developing their potential and making a positive impact on education and society.
