Singaraja- The Republic of Indonesia’s 74th year of independence. The momentum was marked by various activities in the community. One of them is a walking competition. Behind the increasing age of this republic, various challenges cannot be released. In fact, it may even become more complex in the future. This, of course, cannot be ignored. Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) academician, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., assessed that the community, especially the younger generation, must be able to interpret these various challenges, including the opportunities that have been laid out and laid before their eyes. Steps that can be taken can be through work and improved thinking skills. “Thinking skills, both in understanding opportunities in the global era and managing existing challenges,” he emphasized, Friday (9/8/2019).
The future world is full of uncertainties. In the midst of these conditions, skills, and creativity are at stake. For this reason, the younger generation must truly fill themselves with learning and work for the benefit of society and the nation. This also has to get support from external factors. Starting from good quality education, including teaching staff and support from the community. “There needs to be the same movement and commitment,” he said.
The Indonesian nation is a great nation. Has a wide geographic area and large Human Resources as well. If this can be managed properly, according to the academic from Bonyoh Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, this will become a new power in the world. It’s just that now there are still problems that must be handled together, one of which is in the field of education. Approaching the golden era of 2045, more and more young people must make achievements, both for themselves, for society, and for the nation. “There needs to be self-improvement, not falling on the problems in society is the key. Stability in thinking, understanding of cultural values , and insight into how the future is designed are three factors that the younger generation must understand,” he added. (hms)
