Singaraja– Undiksha Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) held a Work Meeting (Raker) for the 2021 fiscal year program, Wednesday (22/1/2020). The meeting which took place at the Puri Saron Hotel made the clustering of higher education a priority program. “This is also included in the chancellor’s work contract with the ministry,” said the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, M.Si when confirmed on the sidelines of the activity.
There are a number of things that cannot be separated from the clustering or ranking of higher education institutions, such as accreditation of study programs, quality of human resources, and research and innovation programs. “These things support clustering. Therefore, this quality must be improved. How can our resources be qualified, the ratio of lecturers to students is appropriate, and more and more innovations emerge,” he said.
More specifically related to innovation programs, according to Suparta, the potential to be developed is in the form of a business incubator. Human Resources in the Faculty are also seen as very supportive. It has proposed the program to the relevant ministries. “If this is accepted, we will start business units driven by lecturers and students who are oriented towards scientific business,” he said. Smoothing out the program, and expanding cooperation and communication with many parties, including abroad, needs to be carried out by all lecturers. “Especially with the internationalization at home program launched by the Chancellor, of course, this expansion of communication is very important,” he continued.
This meeting was opened by the Head of Undiksha’s Bureau of General Affairs and Finance, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H. She hopes that the program rolled out by the faculty can fully support the acceleration of realizing Undiksha’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. “The Chancellor often conveys how we can excel in 2025. Of course, this must have the support of the faculty,” she said. (hms)
