Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is preparing to welcome the implementation of Category I In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG-Daljab) in 2022. Thursday (14/7/2022), this state university in the stretch of North Bali is carrying out refreshments for instructors who will later be involved in the education of the participant.
The activities that took place through this network were attended and filled with directions by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation of Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He who represented the Chancellor said that the government and Undiksha continued to strive to improve the quality of PPG implementation from year to year, both in terms of process and output. Realizing this, the role of the instructors cannot be separated. Instructors are expected to provide orientation related to future teachers. As emphasized by the ministry, teachers are wanted to be someone who is able to identify problems, able to explore potential causes of problems arising in the world of education, and find solutions. In addition, teachers can make action plans, make evaluation plans and can carry out these plans in Practical Field Experience. “Finally, we can reflect on the educational process that has been implemented,” he said.
PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that the number of PPG Daljab Category I participants at Undiksha was 1,145 people, consisting of Balinese, Indonesian, English, Guidance and Counseling, Science, Mathematics, PGPAUD, PGSD, Physical Education and Health, Pancasila and Citizenship Education, Fine Arts, Computer Engineering and Informatics. “These participants took part in the program for three months from July to September,” he explained.
As explained further, there are expected learning outcomes through this PPG. First, the participants are able to carry out their professional duties as charming educators based on an attitude of love for the motherland, authoritative, firm, disciplined, full of calling, samapta, accompanied by a spirit of completeness and generosity. Second, able to formulate indicators of higher-order thinking learning outcomes that students must possess including attitudes, knowledge, and skills as a whole (critical, creative, communication, and collaborative) that are future-oriented (adaptive and flexible). Third, mastering teaching materials including advanced meaningful material. (hms)
