Singaraja– The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered various changes, including the world of education. This condition is of concern to the Undiksha Postgraduate academic community. In the middle new normal, education is expected to continue. This was discussed through a webinar that took place on September 1, 2020. “We want to explore and share information on how education is organized in this era of the new normal,” said the Director of Postgraduate Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Putu Suharta, M.Sc., Friday (21/8/2020).
In this webinar, the Director of Belmawa, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Drh. Aris Junaidi, Ph.D., to present material specifically related to the administration of education in the middle new normal. It is hoped that through this activity an overview of the strategies rolled out by tertiary institutions will be obtained for the implementation of quality education. “In a situation like now (the Covid-19 pandemic, ed), of course, there have been changes in the implementation of education. In the past, what used to be face-to-face, is now walking online. We must be ready to organize education in this new normal. Of course, this change requires certain strategies to maintain the quality of learning,” he explained.
Apart from that, this webinar presented Undiksha academic speakers, Dr. Dewa Gede Hendra Divayana, S.Kom., M.Kom who brought material related to article writing, and Undiksha Postgraduate Alumnus, Dr. Ni Kadek Juliantari, S.Pd., M.Pd., with materials
tips for completing studies in less time. “This topic is very useful, especially for lecturers and students. The publication is mandatory now. Likewise lectures, they can be completed faster, but the quality does not decrease,” said Prof. Suharta.
Delivered further, organizing this webinar is also an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in terms of education and teaching. It is hoped that through this, an understanding of the implementation of education in this era’s new normal more increase. “Whatever happens, education must continue, and we must be prepared to face the dynamics of the situation,” concluded the professor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
