Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held tax socialization. The activity, which opened on Thursday (7/4/2022), is intended to increase financial managers’ understanding of tax policies that are prone to change.
The activity which took place in the Lovina area, Buleleng was coordinated by the Faculty of Economics, by presenting speakers from the Bali Directorate General of Taxes and the Undiksha Tax Center. The participants were financial managers from the university and faculty levels, the planning, procurement, and the Undiksha State Assets Checklist.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Economics, Dr. I Gede Adi Yuniarta, S.E., Ak., M.Sc., said that taxes are the largest income included in the structure of the State Budget (APBN). The amount is almost 84 percent. In order to optimize, the government usually makes adjustments to policies or regulations to make it easier for taxpayers. This needs to be socialized further, especially to Undiksha which is one of the state money management institutions. “If we look at taxation in Indonesia, indeed every time there is always a change in policy. We as individuals and as part of government institutions must be able to respond immediately,” he explained.
In line with the Head of the Undiksha General Affairs and Finance Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H. M.Pd. He, who represented the Chancellor, conveyed that this activity was to increase the understanding of all financial managers on the ins and outs of taxation, both regulations and instruments. “Anyone who manages finances must understand, including the system used,” she said.
So far, according to her, tax transactions at Undiksha have followed the system and provisions imposed by the government. “The provisions have been followed so that it runs smoothly. There are no principal problems yet,” she explained.
She added, in matters of taxation, Undiksha also received assistance from the Singaraja KPPN. Through this, it is hoped that tax transactions by Undiksha will not have any problems. “Assistance from the KPPN continues. If there are new provisions, they are always coordinated and Undiksha always communicates well as a work partner,” she concluded. (hms)
