Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to encourage visiting lecturers. This is a way to share thoughts, especially in educational development. The Department of Law and Citizenship, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS) also supported this by presenting Vishalache Balakrishnan, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2 July 2019.
Dean of FHIS, Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed in his speech said that in scientific development and increasing knowledge, especially for Human Resources (HR) within the FHIS environment, synergy with other universities is very necessary. This will continue to be encouraged. “From this visiting lecturer, you can share your thoughts. “It can increase understanding of Undiksha’s human resources,” he explained. Especially for FHIS lecturers, his party also encourages more and more visiting lecturers. This is considered important to increase competitiveness, both for individuals, faculties, and universities.
Meanwhile, Vishalache Balakrishnan delivered material related to inclusive teaching culturally. It was emphasized that this must be confirmed at the level of implementation in the world of education from primary to secondary levels, including in national and state life. On that occasion, he also shared a glimpse of his life. From birth until the age of 20 years lived in a church environment. The house is located behind the church and lives in a Christian way. However, he was born into a Hindu-Indian father’s family and a Chinese mother. Such a life made him accustomed to tolerance.
He also touched on education in Indonesia and Malaysia, especially in universities. It is emphasized that lecturers must know the methods, attitudes, and techniques of lecturers in teaching so that it is easy for students to understand. (hms)
