Singaraja- The desire of a number of parties to gather information about the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to emerge. This time from Malang State University. This was demonstrated through a working visit, Tuesday (11/2/2020).
The visit was directly led by Vice Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Budi Eko Soetjipto, M.Ed., M.Si. The delegation was received by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd was accompanied by the vice chancellor and FK leadership. In his remarks he stated that the establishment of this faculty must not only be supported by commitment, but also facilities and infrastructure, budget, and qualified Human Resources (HR). “This needs attention,” he said.
Delivered further, proposals to the center also need to be supported by the advantages offered by FK. In Undiksha itself there is a specialty in the field of tourism. “This is what matters. Malang State University can adjust its specialty in what field. Can adjust to the potential of the area. In Bali, it’s tourism. That’s what we make special,” he explained. It is undeniable that the establishment of the Undiksha Medicine Study Program took quite a long time until the permit was issued in August 2018. “Of course, this achievement cannot be separated from the enthusiasm of the lecturers to continue to try to make up for the deficiencies,” he added.
Meanwhile, Budi Eko Soetjipto explained that his party has a plan to establish a FK. Therefore efforts were made to collect as much information as possible to support the proposal to the central government. “We studied here because we had something in common as former IKIP. Of course, after this visit, we will immediately prepare whatever is needed,” he said. This visit was not only filled with discussions but also a visit to the Jinengdalem Campus, Buleleng Regency to find out more about the facilities and infrastructure needed. (hms)
