Singaraja- Vice Chancellor I Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI., representing the Chancellor visited Pradita Dirgantara High School in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Wednesday (11/3/2020). The visit was to answer the invitation of the Wife of the TNI Commander, Hadi Tjahyanto. On this very good occasion, it was filled with discussions which were also attended by chancellors from other tertiary institutions regarding Indonesian education in the future in order to produce superior human resources for advanced Indonesia.
The school which was built for 9 months starting in 2017 has very complete facilities, including housing for the educators. This is the school’s role model in the future. The implemented curriculum is also very good for shaping the character of the students and also instilling High Order Thinking Skills through the applied teaching and learning process. This school is a full scholarship given by the air force foundation.
On this occasion, Rasben Dantes (representing the invitees who attended) had the opportunity to give a speech related to the future education system and independent learning which is the Ministry of Education and Culture’s policy. It was conveyed that education is a critical point in producing superior human resources. “When we talk about education, policy as a platform, learning tools (curriculum, etc.), infrastructure, teachers, students, community/families, and government are integrated components,” he said.
By viewing teachers as one of the critical points, Undiksha as one of the LPTKs is committed to contributing to producing superior teachers who are believed to have an impact on the birth of superior generations in the future. “Therefore, teacher education must also have official ties (scholarships and boarding houses). With that, we are sure that in the future the quality of teachers will improve,” he said.
Seeing the high-quality input of students from all over Indonesia at Pradita Dirgantara High School, Undiksha will open its doors wide for graduates who wish to study at this North Bali state university. It is hoped that the existence of this school can provide benefits for the development of education in Indonesia in the future and be able to contribute to producing superior human resources for advanced Indonesia.
