Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is one of the implementers of the 2021 Computer-Based Writing Examination for Joint Entrance Selection for State Universities (UTBK-SBMPTN). It strictly implements the Covid-19 prevention protocol. This was monitored by the Buleleng Regency Covid-19 Handling Task Force during a simulation, Friday (9/4/2021).
There were 2,238 participants in this exam. Undiksha prepared nine rooms spread across four locations, namely the Engineering and Vocational Faculty, the Economics Faculty, the Language and Arts Faculty, and the Information and Communication Technology Technical Implementation Unit (UPT-TIK). The readiness for this exam was monitored by the Secretary of the Buleleng Regency Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Gede Suyasa, M.Pd., Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., Vice Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., and the Buleleng District Health Office.
After monitoring, I Gede Suyasa said that from a technical point of view, Undiksha had prepared very well. Room capacity is only filled 50 percent, some even 25 percent. In addition to implementing health protocols for the committee and participants before entering the room and providing other supporting facilities, such as hand washing stations at each test location.
On this occasion, he also stressed the implementation of health protocols not only in the exam room but also in other places where crowds could potentially occur, such as parking lots or queues before entering the room. “My suggestion is to vaccinate the exam supervisor, it has been carried out. It’s been vaccinated. Only one left, the three participants who arrived at the parking lot, at the same time to be controlled. If the place of the test is very good. There are temperature checks, hand cleaning, and so on,” he said. The bureaucrat who served as the Head of the Buleleng Education, Youth, and Sports Office stated that there would be regular monitoring from the Health Office on the implementation of the exams.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation, Rasben Dantes explained that the examination took place in two waves. The first batch will be from 16 to 18 April 2021, and the second batch will be from 26 April to 2 May 2021. He emphasized that the health protocol is a serious concern in this exam. To support this, the implementing team made careful preparations, starting with infrastructure and other standard operating procedures. “We in the committee have done various things related to this implementation. For example, spraying disinfectants in the exam room, before and after activities. So it’s safe. Participants who attend, have their temperature checked, wash their hands, and so on, “he explained. It is hoped that this preparation for Undiksha will receive support from the community and examinees to jointly implement the health protocol so that the exam can run well. (hms)
