Singaraja- ISO 9001:2015 external audit of the Technology, Information and Communication Technical Implementation Unit (UPT TIK) of the University of Education of Ganesha was completed, Wednesday (27/7/2022). As a result, it was declared passed certification. This was announced directly by the auditor, Poernomo Amiprodjo at the end of the session which was also attended by Undiksha’s Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I.
Amiprodjo explained that based on the results of the two-day audit, the ICT UPT was able to fulfill the various requirements that were required. “The result is once again related to ISO 9001: 2015, all requirements are met,” he said. Even so, he still provides a number of suggestions that are considered important to support service improvement. Delivered further, the results of this audit will be accompanied by a follow-up audit scheduled for July 2023. This is in order to ensure the implementation of ISO 9001:2015.
Meanwhile, Rasben Dantes expressed his appreciation for the audit implementation which had gone smoothly. He considered this a new experience, especially for UPT ICT. “With the accreditation of ISO 9001: 2015, it doesn’t stop here. This will always be visited, will always be audited periodically so that improvements can be made regarding what is the suggestion,” he said.
The success of obtaining the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate is expected to have an impact on the quality of UPT ICT services, which have quite a large scope and become a motivation to continue to develop and improve to support Undiksha to become a superior and competitive tertiary institution. “I think this (UPT ICT, red) is our university’s wet kitchen. All difficult things and so on are in UPT ICT. And this is also a mini world (small world) of Undiksha. If this is destroyed then it’s finished, because all data, backup data, applications that are currently used to support academic and non-academic domains will really depend on all of you,” he said.
