PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that UP Retaker is an opportunity for re-examination for PPG participants who have not passed the previous exam. “There are no new participants. So there are no participants who have never been UP. All of these participants have had UP, only there are those who have UP directly to the test site,” he explained.
The exam, which continued the academic in the field of Indonesian Language Education, was carried out online, with the participants being at their respective residences or places with internet access. The exam took place in four sessions, with 190 participants in each session, and involved 13 supervisors. “This exam is based on domicile. Two sessions are held in a day,” he explained. Participants in this exam were immediately conditioned by the center. Undiksha is only the executor. Exam participants came from almost all provinces in Indonesia. “So they are here indeed conditioned by centers from various regions of origin. No longer thinking about where they came from, because UP immediately went to their respective places,” he said.
Delivered further, this exam is carried out strictly. There are various conditions that must be followed by the participants. In this case, Undiksha also gave directions to supervisors. The supervisor, Drs. Eded Tarmedi, M.A., who also directly monitored the exam implementation. “We already have previous domicile-based UP experience. We have reliable supervisors,” said the academic who is also Deputy Dean II of the Undiksha Faculty of Languages and Arts.
Reflecting on previous experience, the obstacles faced by the examinees were more technical due to disruptions to the central server, internet network, and the participant’s ability to use technology. “Previously, there were only technical problems in the exam. But that was dealt with quickly. Yesterday, there were many problems with the signals from the participants. Then the ability of teachers to be literate in technological literacy is not evenly distributed so that many experience technical problems,” he added. The exam this time is expected to run smoothly and can be better than before. (hms)
