This is reflected in the vision and mission which elaborates the teachings of Tri Hita Karana in building programs and activities. The entire breadth of campus academic development is directed at cultivating and implementing character education as a goal of national education development. The realization of this can be seen in the implementation of Tri Dharma in the campus environment.
“In the curriculum. Development in all study programs is directed at the elaboration of Balinese cultural values and the elaboration of Tri Hita Karana teachings, which are adapted to their scientific characteristics so that in their implementation in learning it is hoped that a way of thinking, attitude, and habits will be realized that reflect and show the values of Indonesian character. ,” he said.
Meanwhile, research and service is carried out by referring to the Research Master Plan (RIP) which also refers to the development and discovery of national character education models and materials, which are accommodated by research centers and service centers. In terms of student activities, it is stated that collaboration and implementation of character values are firmly and concretely carried out through a series of programs, especially those that relate to the formation of students’ social and economic mentality so that it is hoped that competent graduates will be born. “In academic policy and climate, it is stated in the study guidebook and academic policy. “The guidebook clearly regulates a culture of anti-plagiarism and the development of learning activities with a high academic culture,” he stressed.
For Undiksha, continued Jampel, instilling the values of goodness and wisdom as the core of character education is mandatory and has a much higher value than producing graduates who are competent but have no character. “If you have character, the development of nationalism and universal national insight will be realized optimally,” he said.
