Ganesha University of Education (UNDIKSHA) Singaraja won a championship. The university that leads to produce educators was able to get the champion on the third position in International Martial Art Championship that was held at Sport Hall Temenggung Abdul Jamal, Mukakuning Batam, Riau.
“The championship had been held for three days from Thursday (10/8) to Saturday (12/8). In that championship UNDIKSHA won six gold medals: three silver medals and one bronze medal” explained the team leader who accompanied the team from UNDIKSHA, Kadek Yogi Parta Lesmana, S.Pd, M.Pd, Singaraja, Bali, on Tuesday.
He said that gold medals came from Samsul Bahtiar Anwar categorized in senior male individual Karateka, Komang Krishna Sagita Dewi categorized in female individual Karateka, andPutu Agus Putra Bimantara categorized in male committee 55 kilograms.
“There is gold medal won by Ni Kadek Ami Ariasti from the other committee in 68 kilograms and also Ketut Agus Sumandiyasa from other committee in 84 kilograms” explained by him and his companions Nyoman Omy Angreni and Nyoman Maduria.
He added that the other champions were dozens teams from eight countries, namely Iran, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan.
The Rector of UNDIKSHA, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. appreciated all the university students that got many champions and medals in the International championship.
Jampel confirmed that UNDIKSHA would always support all the university students who gave their best in many championships starting from regional, Asia, and international. He said that all the medals in this year added Undiksha’s sport achievement.
The departure of team to Batam was also the program of UNDIKSHA to support all university students in enriching achievements. He is really aware of bringing the Lord of Ganesha as our noble symbol. Ganesha is the Lord with smart, strong, and tough values.
