Singaraja- Socialization of the four pillars of Indonesian nationality took place at the Faculty of Language and Arts, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha), Saturday (22/2/2025). This socialization presented speakers DPD Member of Bali Region, Ni Luh Putu Ary Pertami Djelantik and Undiksha academician, Dr. I Made Sugihartono, S.H., M.H..
This socialization targets the young generation or Gen Z. The speakers invited to preserve and maintain Balinese traditions and culture. One way to preserve Balinese traditions and culture is to use Balinese language in daily life and apply Balinese culture in the life of the nation and state. The hashtag #KaburSajaDulu which went viral on various social media was also a topic that came up in this socialization. The speaker Ni Luh Djelantik stated that the hashtag needs to be interpreted that as a young generation, they should look for a much better life for the future, for example through pursuing education outside Bali or outside Buleleng Regency. As young generations, they must be able to take on the role of all the challenges that exist in this country.
In addition, he invited the young generation to be strong and have the knowledges to become a successful person. One of the steps to be a successful person is by understanding the pillars of nationality. “The young generation must have awareness in the nation and state. The young generation or Gen Z must understand and implement the values of Pancasila. This can be done through appreciating and maintaining the various ethnicities in Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, the speaker Made Sugihartono not only conveyed the importance of the role of the younger generation in maintaining Balinese customs and culture, in the midst of increasingly strong globalization. But also conveyed that the younger generation must protect the Balinese earth so that it is not lost. According to him, in this currently era, there are various issues related to Balinese culture and land ownership. Anticipating the increasingly massive problem, strengthening understanding of the four pillars of nationality is one solution. “The young generation must have awareness of the nation and state. The young generation or Gen Z must understand and implement the values of Pancasila,” he said.
The Vice Dean II FBS Undiksha, Dr. Putu Mas Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Pd welcomed this socialization. He who represented the Dean of FBS hoped that students as a young generation must take advantage of this socialization moment to shape and build their identity to become a society that has a national and state spirit.
