Denpasar- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Strengthening Asset Management and BMN as part of its efforts to enhance PNBP in the context of transitioning to State University with Legal Entity (PTN-BH) status. the event took place at Sanur Resort Watujimbar, Denpasar, on Friday, July 12, 2024.
This Discussion was officially opened by the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., and featured distinguished speakers including the Head of Kanwil DJKN Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Sudarsono and the Head of PKN DJKN Affairs Kanwil for Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Desak Putu Jeny.
In his opening remarks, the Rector highlighted that Undiksha currently functioning as a State University’s under the Public Service Agency (PTN BLU) model, is in the process of transitioning to a State University with Legal Entity (PTN-BH) status. This FGD was organized to provide BMN operators and asset managers with specialized knowledge crucial for this transformation. The REctor emphasized that effective asset and BMN management are pivotal for the institution’s progress, especially given the mandate from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) for higher education institutions to engage in non-profit educational entrepreneurship, a challenging task. “As we transition to PTN-BH, we can no longer rely solely on student tuition fees,” Prof. Lasmawan explained.
The Rector also expressed hope that the insights shared by the speakers would enhance the knowledge and future action of BMN operators within the Undiksha.
Additionally, the Head of Kanwil DJKN Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Sudarsono commended Undiksha’s ginancial management and expressed optimism for its continued improvement. He futher emphasized the imortance to ensuring that Undiksha’s BMN assets are effectively utilized for welfare of the community, the betterment of the campus, and the enhancement of educational quality.
This event was also attended by the Head of Finance and General Affairs Bureau, the Head of Planning and Cooperation Bureau, the Head of General Affairs, BMN Operator within Undiksha, and staff from Undiksha’s Planning Division..
