Singaraja- Increasing the quality and number of community service proposals is a serious concern of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha). Supporting this, through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) training was carried out involving study programs, on Tuesday (28/5/2019).
Chairman of LPPM Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Gede Astra Wesnawa explained that the training which took place in the Ganesha III Room of the Rectorate presented resource persons from the center to provide insight regarding the basis of policy and implementation of community service. “This proposal is funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. “We hope that with training, we can improve the quality of proposals and those that pass the selection,” he explained.
Apart from training, a proposal clinic was also prepared involving reviewers from the center. Through this, it is hoped that the proposals submitted are of truly high quality. “So we hope that in the future, more and more proposals submitted will pass. Likewise, those funded by the center. For this reason, we consider it very important to have this proposed clinic. “We ask that each study program has at least two proposals that are ready to be put into a clinic,” he said.
It cannot be denied that recently there have been proposals that have not passed the selection. Several things are the cause, starting from administrative problems, the content is not in accordance with the paradigm of community service proposals, and funding, and those involved in it are still monodisciplinary. “This service must involve multidisciplinary knowledge. The problems raised must also come from the community. Not from myself,” he added. (hms)
