Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) cooperates with the Bali Police State Police School (SPN) and the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) of Buleleng Regency. The collaboration is related to educational and electoral development. The signing took place at the Undiksha Rectorate Building, Thursday (17/2/2022).
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was carried out directly by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd, together with the Head of the Bali Police SPN, Kombes Pol Drs. I Nengah Subagia, and Chairman of the Buleleng Regency Bawaslu, Putu Sugi Ardana.
The Chancellor of Jampel positively welcomed this collaboration. It was emphasized that Undiksha was ready to collaborate in order to support the progress of each institution, as was the case with other collaborations that had been carried out previously. Specifically with Bawaslu, he hopes that there will be cooperation in sharing information about elections down to the student level. Apart from that, he also stressed that he was very supportive if later the Bawaslu wanted to involve Undiksha Human Resources (HR) in various activities, both electoral studies and participatory outreach. “For mutual progress, we are ready to support,” he said.
In the same vein for the SPN Polda Bali, Undiksha as an academic institution, is ready to support the development of educational and teaching programs in order to create superior and competitive human resources. Likewise with the development of information technology. This is because Undiksha has adequate and competent human resources in their fields.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Buleleng Regency Bawaslu, Sugi Ardana said that the collaboration with Undiksha could not be separated from the large number of human resources, who are believed to be able to assist in electoral socialization as well as being involved in participation supervision in the midst of General Election events. “Undiksha, which has a lot of human resources, in the future can also carry out participatory supervision, working with the committee. That is our hope,” he said. Furthermore, he admitted that he had previously socialized participatory supervision, including among students. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the reach will be wider.
Head of SPN Polda Bali, Kombes Pol Subagia said the collaboration with Undiksha concerned the management of education, training, and services to the community. In essence, this collaboration is to realize educational outcomes, Polri human resources that are healthy, have integrity, have extensive knowledge, and are ready to face future assignments. “Of course, after this, we will follow up with staff according to their respective duties and functions,” he explained.
Through this formal collaboration, it is hoped that there will be no more doubts about the implementation of the program between the three parties. The signing of the collaboration was also attended by Undiksha’s Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., Head of Undiksha Academic, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Bureau, Drs.
