Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) continues to strive to support village development and provide solutions to existing problems. This is implemented through a community service program, one of the dharma of higher education.
One of these programs was carried out by a team of servants consisting of I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., Dr. Luh Joni Erawati Dewi, A.A. Gede Yudhi Paramartha, S.Kom, M.Kom and Luh Ayu Tirtayani, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist. This service activity targeted Ringdikit Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency.
The team created a program, namely “Optimizing the Administration of Ringdikit Village Government by Increasing Information Technology Literacy and Implementing the Integrated Smart Village System Application (SIDECI)”.
Team leader, Resika Arthana, Friday (7/10/2022) explained the implementation of this program to fulfil one of the tri dharma tasks of lecturers, namely community service and support Undiksha’s mission, which is to organize competitive, collaborative, accommodating, and innovative community service. Furthermore, the selection of Ringdikit Village cannot be separated from previous observations that technological innovation is needed to improve service quality and community satisfaction. “The innovations needed are following the science and service carried out previously in Patas Village, Gerokgak, related to the application of the SIDECI population data collection module. Based on the needs in Ringdikit Village, the team added the correspondence module to the system. The system is an innovation to support village government services,” he explained.
It was further conveyed that this series of services took place in March – October 2022. Specifically, on October 7, 2022, the socialization of service products and technology literacy training was carried out, such as optimizing the village web and social media to disseminate information, introducing Electronic Signatures, and utilizing Google Drive, Google Form, and Mail Merge for village staff.
This community service was also filled with material on increasing motivation for the achievement of the performance of village officials by a team member, Nice Maylani Asril. To maximize the implementation of the service, the team also collaborated with students as resource persons and a team of assistants consisting of Computer Science study program students, namely Ni Putu Karisma Dewi, Kadek Losinanda Prawira, Made Andika Wiananda and Mellisa Damayanti. In addition, it also involved a programmer from UPT TIK, Komang Aditya Pratama, S.Pd.
“We hope SIDECI can become a pilot project to help improve village administration services. SIDECI as software as service is expected to be used by other villages that need technology implementation,” added Resika Arthana, who also serves as Head of the Technical Implementation Unit for Information and Communication Technology Undiksha.
The program received appreciation from the Head of Ringdikit Village, I Made Sumadi. He, who was present with the other stakeholder in the socialization event, said the presence of a team of servants and technological innovations in the village government was highly expected to help improve service quality. “We hope there will be continuous assistance regarding the application of the technology delivered in this service,” he concluded.
