Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) officially sends Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Teacher Candidates from Batch II 2024 to the partner school principal on Friday, September 6, 2024. The aim of this Teaching Practice (PPL) is to develop teacher candidates with comprehensive competencies.
A total of 248 students from 9 study programs, including Science, Informatics, Chemistry, PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education), PKn (Civic Education), Hospitality, Fine Arts, and Mechanical Engineering, were sent to various schools in the Buleleng District. These students, hailing from 13 different provinces across Indonesia, will conduct PPL in schools spread across the district.
The PPL starts from the fourth week of September 2024, following a similar implementation pattern as the previous period. During PPL, students will observe the school environment, the learning environment, and their characteristics in classrooms, assist in teaching, participate in supervised learning practices, and engage in comprehensive discussions related to the evaluation of PPL implementation.
Undiksha’s PPG Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaua, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation to the partner school principals and mentor teachers for their support in ensuring the success of the PPG program. He expected that through PPL, students will not only gain experience in teaching practice in class, but will also learn about school management and the current responsibilities of teachers. “The aim is for students to understand how to effectively use the system in place,” he explained. With this experience, students are expected to graduate as professionals with a comprehensive competency of the education system.
