Bangli- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) sends students to participate in the 2024 Regular Kuliah Kerja Nyata Program (KKN) in Bangli Regency, starting on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Through this program, students are challenged to provide solutions to village issues and contribute to regional development.
This current KKN program is being conducted in close collaboration with the Financial Service Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan ,OJK) of Bali Province. In Bangli Regency, a total of 48 villages have been designated as the focus areas, involving approximately 800 students. The collaboration with OJK Bali is particularly centered on Financial Inclusion Literacy (LIK), with activities taking place in Bunutin Village, Peninjoan Village, Sukawana Village, and Kintamani Village.
These students’ deployment event was attended by the Vice Regent of Bangli, I Wayan Diar, S.ST.Par., who was accompanied by the Head of PMD-PPKB Department of Bangli, I Dewa Agung Putu Purnama, S.STP., s who symbolically placed hats on the students as a sign that the kKN program has officially commenced in this cool-climate region.
The Vice Regent expressed a positive response to this annual program. He hopes that the presence of students in the villages will inspire the younger generation to pursue higher education. Additionally, the students’ involvement is expected to support the development of Bangli Regency in various aspects and to help identify and address local issues.
The Vice Regent from Kintamani also highlighted two national issues that require special attention from the students: the cases of stunting cases and drug abuse. He urged the students to contribute ideas, and take preventive actions of these matters.
The Head of Undiksha Research and Community Service, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Supartta, M.Si., stated that the KKN program is not only a learning opportunity for students but also an implementation of theMerdeka Belajar policy. The presence of students in the villages and within the community is expected to provide valuable experience, particularly in understanding the environmental context.
The KKN Program will run for 36 days, from July to August 2024. Although the time duration is relatively short, it is hoped that the students’ involvement will have a positive impact on the village, at the very least through ideas to support village development.
