Denpasar- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) achieved remarkable success by winning titles in 9 categories in the 2024 Regional Students Art Week (Peksimida) Bali 2024 held at the Indonesia Institute of Arts in Denpasar on Tuesday, July 24, 2024.
The accolades include first, second, and third-place. First place was secured in the dangdut singing competition, the keroncong female singing competition, and the poetry reading competition. Second place was earned in the female pop singing competition, the monologue competition, and the poetry writing competition. Third place was attained in the short story writing competition, the social campaign media design competition, and the script comic competition.
The Vice Rector of Undiksha for Students Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes., expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm shown by the participants and their advisors in this annual event, especially in light of their success in securing multiple titles. He also extended his gratitude to the leadership and the Undiksha academic community for the support and encouragement.
This achievement is expected to serve as motivation for students to continue enhancing their skills and striving for even greater accomplishments. These successes will also guide Undiksha in developing future student programs, particularly in nurturing students’ talent.
The students who secured first place titles in this event will represent Bali at the 17th Peksiminas Art Week, scheduled from September 2 to 7, 2024, at Jakarta State University. In the remaining time, Undiksha will intensify its coaching efforts to ensure the participants are well-prepared for their performance. For context, Undiksha participated in ten competition categories at Peksimida. Prior to the event, coaching and trials had already been conducted.
