Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) does not only receive visits from other universities for comparative studies of academic development. But also about public relations and website governance. This was carried out by the Mpu Kuturan State Hindu Religious College (STAHN), Singaraja, on Wednesday (11/9/2019).
His presence was received by the Head of Undiksha’s Academic, Student Affairs, Planning, and Cooperation (AKPK) Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, accompanied by the Head of Student Affairs and Public Relations, Drs. I Ketut Surya Panca, Head of Public Relations Subdivision, Made Mariatini. Apart from that there was also the Head of UPT ICT Undiksha, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom with the Content and Multimedia Division Coordinator, I Gede Partha Sindu, S.Pd., M.Pd.
Public Relations of STAHN Mpu Kuturan, Putu Mardika, S.Pd., M.Sc., assessed that Undiksha was quite advanced in website management and was able to integrate it down to the faculty and study program levels. This is also the case with the publication of information, both concerning institutional activities and other matters of an educational nature, which are classified as massive and sustainable. “We see that Undiksha’s publications are professional. Already has a variety of content. There are also many on social media. Likewise, with the mass media, it is often, “he explained.
For this reason, this man from Kalianget Village, Seririt District wants to adopt it. He also explored more in-depth information regarding website creation and strategies for publication in the midst of this digital era. “We already have a website. But not as much as in Undiksha. Likewise, the publication of information is not yet massive. That is what underlies our desire to study here,” he said. The knowledge gained from the largest public university in North Bali is later expected to be able to make changes to the university which was just established in 2016. “We hope that the collaboration will continue. Not only formal, but also informal,” he added.
Undiksha AKPK Bureau Head, Made Yasa positively welcomed the visit. He said that Undiksha is still working to improve the quality of information publication, both in terms of speed and content. There are still a number of ideas that have not been fully realized, such as public service publications from academics. “We also want communication to continue. They can complement each other,” he said. Maximizing publications, Undiksha also strives to provide adequate infrastructure. “For every activity at Undiksha, it is mandatory to publish it,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of UPT ICT, Resika Artana explained that Undiksha already has 90 websites spread across institutions, faculties, departments, study programs, and units. Most of them have been integrated, making it easier to access information. The content has also been well communicated. “Of course, we are very happy to be able to share information about this,” he concluded. (hms)
